Jerusalem Parish Choir Upendo-{love}
started its video shooting exercise on
27 th May, 2007 at a colourful Sunday
service in Jerusalem , lead by Rev. Galana
Yako and Rev. (Mrs) Savera Bishanga.
The jovial mood at the service was evident
with all congregants geared to supporting
the first-ever DVD recording in Jerusalem
Parish.
The Sunday Worship theme ‘Spirit of God,
our help' formed the basis of the sermon
In the sermon Rev. Babusa highlighted
four major issues that contribute to the
division of the Church today as: Salvation,
Holy Spirit, Baptism and Sacrament. He
continued saying ‘Translation and
interpretation of the Bible are mainly the
root causes of our division in the church'

Adding that- ‘Speaking in tongue is important as a gift of the Holy Spirit…but God is challenging
us (Christians) to go into His Mission'. Rev. Babusa went further to challenge Jerusalem
congregants toaccept Jesus Christ as the Son of God and live
according to His teachings. |

PASTOR'S SERMON
The pastor went on saying that- ‘When we
dwell in God we receive the Holy Spirit which
leads us into righteousness….but many times
we (Christians) prevent the Holy Spirit to dwell
in us when we are not Holy'. Rev. Babusa
concluded his sermon by encouraging the
congregants to use the gifts of the Holy Spirit
for God's glory and not personal benefit.

UPENDO CHOIR.
Upendo Choir was formed in early 80's
with the main objective of spreading the
word of God and evangelising through
music.
TheChoir has performed in a number of
concerts and major UN and UN-HABITAT
functions. The Choir has achieved a lot
-memorable one was in 2003 when they
were among other invited Choirs which
entertained former president Daniel Moi
at a National function in Nairobi .
